Latest Updates from Our Project:

All That Glitters is Gold and Silver
about 7 years ago – Tue, Feb 07, 2017 at 05:54:19 PM

Hi Everybody!

Just wanted to keep everyone updated. Cards are processing. Boxes are completed. Specialty ink boxes are being prepped. Gilding will be applied once cards are done. And...

Coins are finally in! They look FANTASTIC!

The choice to go one color for these coins was totally worth it for the amount of detail we were able to push. Since the designs are just so intricate the ability to go one color to really get that fine linework paid off wonderfully. I am so incredibly pleased with their work (Coins For Anything) and I'm positive that the people that ordered a coin will be just as happy! Poker night here we come!

As always I'll keep you updated as more things come to fruition.

Coin Proofs
over 7 years ago – Fri, Dec 30, 2016 at 09:29:51 PM

Hello Everybody!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. This is a courtesy update with nothing too big to announce but just a few things to cover.

Closing Out Your Survey

I usually like to wait until we have at least 90% of backer surveys complete before locking things down but we still have a few stragglers. If you did not get your survey please PM me and I will send you your custom survey to complete out your pledge and address. Surveys will lock down on January 10th.

Coin Proofs

I was hoping to get physical proofs in but they just started production on them instead lol. The art proofs were approved a while ago but here they are for all you curious folk that wonder how these coins are prepped before molding.

I'll be sure to check in once things start happening in the new year. Until then I wish you all an absolutely wonderful and happy 2017!

Cheers,

 -Alex

Survey Response Needed
over 7 years ago – Wed, Dec 07, 2016 at 07:32:46 PM

Hello Everybody!

Funds have been received and Backerkit has been approved and sent out. This is the moment where you get to verify all your information and:

  • Make sure your address is correct
  • Specify your add-ons and specifics (like color and size)
  • Add on any last minute items that you would love to have

A quick note regarding the Black Label Sleeves. If you've selected a TIER and upgraded some of your decks to the Signature Black Label, you just need to add the SLEEVE ONLY to your cart to upgrade your decks. Simply dropdown and select the label of the deck that you want to upgrade.

For upgraded decks within your TIER, add the sleeve only
For upgraded decks within your TIER, add the sleeve only

If you ADDED ON extra decks that you wanted to upgrade to Signature Black Label, you can simply add the deck and directly upgrade it by selecting (Deck + Sleeve) in the dropdown within the lightbox as seen below to make it easier. Selecting both items or upgrading within the dropbox achieve the same thing but I figured this would make more sense for add-ons.

For example if I added on a Signature Black Label Insights Pack I could simply click the Insights and dropdown to select the upgrade.

In my next update I'll have the physical coin proofs by then to show off and let you know as more news comes in.

If you have any questions don't hestiate to ask via PM. Have a great day!

FUNDED! On To The Next Chapter...
over 7 years ago – Wed, Nov 16, 2016 at 07:32:50 PM

WOOHOO! WE DID IT!

This project was hands down my toughest Kickstarter I've done and I seriously couldn't have grown it the way it did without the support of all of you absolutely awesome supporters. This project was one that almost didn't come together due to a flurry of logistics and testing and other obstacles unforeseen, but it did. And with your help we were able to not only fund it, but help change this little corner of playing card history and move the innovation needle a wee bit further :)

Turning The Page To The Next Chapter... or Two

We're closing out the campaign with these back-to-back chapters of The Apothecary Tales. This is it for now with quite an ending indeed, but if you liked this interactive kind of campaign let me know and I'll consider doing it for the future as well. I'm always testing to create a better KS experience. Feedback is always encouraged. If you were new to the campaign I urge you to follow the full journey starting from Chapter 1. I hope you enjoy!

What's Next?

For those of you familiar with Kickstarter we're now in the 2 week holding period before anything can really happen. Once KS releases these funds after this period I'll be sending out the next update notifying everyone of the Backerkit survey that is out. This will be a visual selection that allows you to confirm everything you pledged for, specify your add-ons, and pick any specific requests or sizes that you had for T-shirts, etc. At this time you'll also be able to do any last minute add-ons if needed.

Once payment is released I'll be able to submit to production on all fronts. Artwork is all set so the only real thing now is to wait for the release. Until that time I'll be setting up the Backerkit, sending out for coin prototypes, submitting the card artwork and basically getting every other piece out in the field that I can until our next checkpoint.

Thank you guys again so much for just an absolutely AWESOME Kickstarter experience.

-Alex

After all of this craziness I think I'll actually be able to afford a full 8 hours of sleep tonight in an actual bed! This pillow gem on KS is something I seriously wish I had this during these past two weeks where I was basically living at my desk. If you're a perpetual napper like me I'd definitely suggest you check it out.

Chapter 7 & Coins
over 7 years ago – Sat, Nov 12, 2016 at 10:42:34 PM

Hello Everyone,

Apologies for the delayed update. For those of us in the US last night was a very eventful day and for you guys it's now going to be a very eventful night with these new releases!

2" Challenge Coins

I was playing around with the idea of having these as small quarter-size coins for coin manipulation but after talking with a few of you coin collectors I've decided to keep them at the 2" diameter. It creates a real weight in your hand and gives a lot more real estate to show off the details of the coin. They become great dealer coins for game night as well.

These absolutely gorgeous coins will be a solid shiny gold and silver to catch every detailed ridge in the light. They each feature the custom Seasons logo made for the Apothecary series and the coin back embraces the their selected suit.

Add on any coin for $15 / $17 int.

Chapter 7 Released

We're nearing the end of our journey and things are finally looking up for our travel companion. See how things are going for him by joining the story now!

We've hit 1,000 on Instagram!

Today we also hit 1,000 followers on Instagram. It's exciting to see the support there and if you haven't already, I encourage you to follow the Seasons Instagram HERE. I often post a lot of process videos, updates, and the occasional contest on IG so definitely join in so you don't miss out!

We've been climbing steady towards $70K and I'm sure with the help of you amazing supporters we can close this project out stronger than ever. Be sure to share the campaign with anyone in your life that you think could use a bit of curiosity and inspiration right now.

Until Chapter 8...

-Alex
