New Box Batch + Chapter 6

Happy Friday To All!

What a way to start the weekend. Our wonderful Cubbies win the World Series and our last batch of white limited edition Curiosity Cabinets are now available in the campaign. They've been locked out for a while now so if you've been looking, now's your chance to pounce! Only 20 remain.

I've gotten a few requests to show more pictures of the boxes regarding how they connect but I figured a video would be better! CLICK HERE for a no fuss straight forward video of the ACTUAL boxes in action. 

But since it's Friday, here's a FUN version of the video haha. 

The boxes are certainly VERY CURIOUS indeed. They join side-to-side and stack as well to expand or contract in size with the amount of boxes you have. Each piece can be stacked at any position (there are no special end pieces or middle pieces) making this a very easy straightforward system. Fits 2 decks perfectly and includes a pull ribbon, interior black lining, and hot gold foil stamping. A second drawer is perfect for your other game item pieces. 

Limited edition deck boxes are made to be part of the box system as well. They are strong enough to connect together while subtle enough so that they won't damage anything. They use small neodymium magnets embedded in each box to achieve this effect.

White Label Decks: A Kickstarter Exclusive

This deck utilizes patented heat sensitive technology that allows you to use your fingers like a paintbrush across the canvas of the premium linen deck.  Exclusive to Seasons Playing Cards the Ponderings turn from Coral to Lilac while the Insights turn from Juniper Green to Yellow.

That was quite a whirlwind of stuff we had to cover. New chapter, gilding, color changing decks, new boxes, new videos, the works. If you didn't catch it before CHECK OUT THE NEW KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN VIDEO because it does show real proofs of the gilding and actual footage of the color changing ink that I can't translate well enough into static photo format. It'll be a tough update to follow up this one haha.

Until then maybe I'll try to catch a breath or two. Oh and Happy Halloween!

Chapter 5 - Inverno Insights

Woo Hoo! We broke the $50K mark this week!

Over the past few days we jumped to break the 50K mark. Through that time a LOT of activity has been happening with a lot of questions that goes with them. This will be a pumped up Update!

White Label Decks

A lot of questions have been asked about the tiers and the color changing decks. The basic layout of the campaign is between Black Label decks and White Label decks. White Label decks are with gilding and color changing boxes while Black Label decks are more standard. You have the option of getting the Black Label decks with our without the signature sleeve while the White Label decks have the sleeve automatically included with your pledges. The ink is applied to the BOX and not the individual cards as of this moment. I thought that the hand gilding would be enough of a value add for this specific launch. If requested enough they will most likely launch in our next campaign. The ink is REUSABLE as well in that it reverts back and forth between colors based on the temperature of the applied heat/cold and the temperature of the room. It is not a one-use deck but will last a lifetime. An FAQ has been added to the campaign as well for these questions. All items besides the white boxes can be added on using the Add-On chart in the campaign. 

Limited Edition White Box Tiers

People have requested more B2 tiers open up. 20 more B2 tiers will open up this Friday at 4pm CST.

Unlocked Apparel

T-shirts are now available in the campaign with the Ace of Spades and Ace of Clubs, each one representing their own season and ideology. Each shirt is crafted in the USA using extremely soft comfortable fabric that feels like you've owned it for years. Shirts are screen printed on genuine American Apparel 50/50 blend. Sizes availalbe are XS to 2XL. Sizes outside of that are also available but should message me for customization.

Chapter 3 - Persistent Perserverence

This weekend the 52+ Joker Convention ran and it was an incredible time. Only at this convention do other card designers from around the country come together to share ideas, tips, and discuss the future of playing cards. To top it off though upon arriving back I received word that the Magna Carta series had won gold in packaging for the Creativity International Awards. This makes it our fourth international award won of five nominations. This makes the Magna Carta series...

...the most awarded cards of 2016!

What a treat! I always try to push boundaries and Kickstarter is a great way to test them. I plan to continue to test with this campaign as well with something very special coming out for Thursday's update. I encourage you to share the project until then!

To celebrate the success however I'm trying out my first ever Instagram giveaway. I'm giving away the highly coveted King John gold gilded deck not available in our store. To enter simply Follow Us on Instagram, like the picture, and tag a friend. Contest winner announced November 1st.

At the convention I was able to catch up with my good friend Jody of Black Ink Playing Cards. He let me know that his Kickstarter launched TODAY. These cards are great and definitely worth checking out. The special tiers include these leather cases that are great for traveling with.

We're Funded! Chapter 2 Release

WooHoo!

We did it guys! We're out the gate and fully funded with 27 days to go. During that time a lot of you asked questions relating to things we had on the old campaign that you wanted on the new campaign, features, etc.  Let's fill you in.

Emboss and Foil Upgrade

It was pointed out to me that I didn't actual mention the material. We'll always support the best quality production but the fact that you guys helped fund this project without these glamour features is awesome! That being said, for those that didn't expect these features, this is like an automatic stretch goal unlocked! Gold foil and embossing will be featured on Primavera Ponderings. Silver foil and embossing will be featured on Inverno Insights.

Uncuts Unlocked!

Uncuts are always for particular collectors. They're never our most popular item but those that order them love them. I had a few concerned requests worrying I stopped creating them. No worries, I was waiting for a good chance to bring them out, like being funded!

Each sheet is individually numbered and signed by the artist on a one time print run never to be printed again.

 Chapter 2: Decision Distress

Unfortunately not everything can be as cheery as our Kickstarter. Last time we saw our boy in Chapter One, we encountered some unexpected trouble. What is he to do? Find out with the release of Chapter Two.

 

Current Events:

I'll be in person at the 52+ Joker Convention this week starting today. I encourage those in the Chicagoland area to join in if you aren't already. 

A special shout out to my good friends Giovanni and Randy as well who are currently running their Kickstarters.  Two very different styles creating some great results! I strongly recommend checking them out if you haven't already.
